Dr. Sinha works with both adolescents and adults.
Treatment modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy and interpersonal therapy. These methods of treatment are evidence-based and have been shown to be effective for many mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Treatment planning with clear short- and long-term goals toward successful, balanced, and healthier lives are woven into therapy sessions.
I welcome collaborative care when referrals are made by other professionals such as primary care physicians, psychiatrists or other specialists (e.g., neurologists). Coordinated care is undertaken only with the patient’s explicit consent.
Students with ADHD and Specific Learning Disorders such as reading, math and writing disorders benefit from a comprehensive psychoeducational assessment. These cognitive and educational assessments provide the documentation necessary to trigger accommodations in school and college for high stakes examinations such as entrance tests.
Neuropsychological assessments help individuals understand their cognitive strengths and weaknesses. Referrals are accepted for neuropsychological assessments for ADHD, neurodevelopmental conditions, functional status post traumatic brain injury or other brain-based conditions such as strokes.
Assessment reports are comprehensive and include a thorough analysis of testing data, and a detailed summary/ recommendations section.
